Updates

Heh...since when blogging has been a monthly affair sia. Haha, but I guess it doesnt matter anyway. Over the past few weeks, I have cleared many tests and joined many stuff. Lets see. I've been accepted into Havoc as programmer, QP as a cast member and I have also joined Sing N Strum and Xinyao. I think this is suicide, but things havent get into full gear yet, so I guess its still ok. Finally no test this week. Phew. I think I'm reallie suffering from a serious case of lack-of-sleep...it was also my first time that night talking to my fren till 4.15am. Crazy us. Haha.

30Sept, I went to sing K wif the usual pple but this time, wif 2 new members. Yeah! Frankly speaking, my heart really sank when I first stepped into the place. It was disappointing in terms of the room size and the songs. In addition, I guessed we were still not used to the envt, I felt really bad. Thou the others didn blame me, but I could tell they held back their comments ba. I guess the next K trip, I wont want to be organising liao.

07Oct, I went Orchard with Hei to complete our 'mission'. It was fun and all I can say is that changing of clothes is shack and I can really understand how the singers felt when they had to change at the speed of light during concerts. After that we met up with Jason for supper. It was ok other than the rude awakening that was caused by shes-who-shall-not-be-named. Anyway, we didnt know their names too. So cant name also. Haha. After that, we had a great deal of fun at the nameless Laselle School of the Arts. Haha.

Fri night I went dancing with Hei @ Esplanade. I'm quite amazed at myself cos I have never been into dancing and for those who know me, they all knew I cant dance. Physically and literally. But somehow after Insinyur, I found dancing really not that tough afterall. Perhaps it was the stupid moves of the NAS Choir Musical that made dancing seemed...stupid. Haha. Insinyur'08...I'm in charge of mass dance anyway.

Yesterday I went shopping. It was really shiok. I spent $50 in a short period of 1h. =P No comments lah hor. Haha.

Yeah, this is the last week of lab. Which means to say, I MANAGED TO SURVIVE 2 LABS!!!!! It wasnt that bad actually, not taking into account the lab report week which was like hell. But other than that, its actually pretty ok. Haha. Its either no lab or 2071 next sem. See how lor. Wahaha...

Long time no post

I just realised its been eons since I have last posted. So many things have happened since then. Sch started, I've shifted and adapted and now the long awaited break is finally nearing. Hall camp was fun, but not as fun as Insinyur...maybe cos of the pple ba. Sch's started and its both busy and slack...as in apparently its a packed timetable, but I think i still can manage...thou I can feel myself being seriously worn out at times. But I think comparing myself wif pple in US like Kennot who's busy chasing shadows and Bornfree, who's been busy sleeping while his good fren is slogging, I'm considered slacker. At least I still can manage to squeeze a couple of hours of sleep while they can barely do so.

Tmr Eliza's leaving for UK...sometimes I really do qn myself if I have made the right choice to come NTU instead of going somewhere else. And this feeling was esp intense when Grace came to crash lectures a few weeks ago. I mean of cos it hadnt cross my mind before that I would want to go overseas or NUS, but NTU is really not as fantastic as I used to imagine. Things really are different when u experience it yourself.

Then there of cos the concern abt whether I can get enuf points to buy myself a place in hall. Hall 5 is actually quite ok...not as bad as the words of mouths that I heard. In any case, its definitely not the worst. But of cos, there are better halls. Back to the issue, points. What the heck. Thou i definitely would very much prefer staying at my own home, travelling is shack. Even if u get to sit and sleep throughout the MRT journey, its still tiring. Haiz.

Finally - him. I dunno wat to say but I'm very sure he's not the one. I like to talk, but u cant expect me to talk all the time. And if u are a listener, even if u are a superb one, there are times when u really have to do the talking. I was already so sick that day and he couldnt tell...and the whole meet-up made me felt even more sick. I have never combed 2 shopping malls within 30mins, neither have I not-enjoy shopping to such an extent before. I was very certain it was a gone case kinda situation, but apparently he didnt seem to agree wif my thots. Double haiz. I really hope his trip to TW would make him forget abt me. Cos I really cant bring myself to break the news to him. I feel so bad.

Ok, its time to mug. Tmr's life science quiz and I'm far from done wif my revision.

Haircut day

Went to cut my hair today. So sian. I've kept my hair for so so so long, then now have to cut it short, looks a bit weird thou. Went Sakae Sushi for lunch and Best Denki to check out some laptops and hairdryer. Yah, so I bought a new hairdryer. And as for the laptop, I was extremely reluctant to buy the display set. So I guess that had to be put on hold again. Argh! This is so mind-occupying.

Farewell Gifts

Yest I brought chocolate that I bought for the Sunway pple, as a token of appreciation for their guidance all the while. Frankly speaking, I have really enjoyed myself here. Although the pay is just so-so, the pple here are generally nice.

This morning Hei gave me presents. OMG. Necklace and dangling earrings. They are so nice! And it was the combined effort of Chan, Jason and Hei (and Li Chia and Rosie) that made the gifts possible. I am so touched!!! And not to mention Chan's personal gifts as well for spoiling my ring. Haha. Wonderful gifts.

I guess none of them would be reading my blog, but in any case, I really would like to express my heartfelt thanks to them. Thanks friends.

Mind Cafe Treat

So I treated some of my colleagues to dinner at Mind Café - $95.90. Ok lah, I was expecting the bill to be over 100 bucks, so anything less is a bonus. Initially, I wasn’t happy when pple told me that they couldn’t make it. I don’t know, but it just didn’t feel good.

When we reached Mind Café, it was around 7.20pm. The time started ticking from 7.45pm and we played for 2+1 hours. At least we managed to play 4 games in all – Uno Stacko, Heart Attack, Uno and Monopoly. Well, it was fun and thrilling indeed. Heart attack was the most disastrous, with tea spilling, hands knocking against the table top, finger nails scratching palms, cards flying all over the place and ring falling apart. Haha. Monopoly was equally enjoyable as pple bought any land they land on, and pple like Chan going out of jail and going back immediately again, and pple like Hei having to mortgage her cottage just to get money to pay me. Haha.

Talk abt the food, we ordered 2 Chicken Platter and 2 Boat Quay Fisherman (Fish & Chips). The serving size was humongous and we were all very full when we managed to clear the mian course. I really felt like giving up the dessert, but ate it still, anyway. Yummy!

Finally I’m blogging again. Actually i have been so lazy to blog ever since I came back from OBS cos there were so many things to blog abt. But anyway, I’ll be resigning this coming Sat and after that I'll be going for the NTU eng camp next week, so I might as well quit. Frankly speaking, of cos I hate to leave, but I think it takes time for conflicts to arise and I’m afraid that I’ll involved in some of those conflicts if I were to stay longer,. So its still better to leave while the picture is still rosy.


For the past few weeks, it’s been really busy cos of she-who-shall-not-be-named. But all thanks to her, I got to earn some OT pay, so that’s like better than nth. Now that I’ve finally cleared all the work, its back to easy life again. Actually I don’t really mind lah, money can’t buy rest, so I rather take the rest.


Anyway, I’ll be going Mind Café tonight for the 2nd time, but wif a different bunch of pple. Lets see how it turns out.

The 2nd K at Party World Int’l Bldg on 07July07 (the lucky day, as they say). The first was on 05May07. Anyway, I was supposed to reach at 7pm, but as usual, I’m hardly early. Eventually we went in at 7.30pm. Pple present were me, Hei, Chan, Jason and his fren. I’m glad this time round the guys got to sing more. And the funniest was when Chan sang Hello by Lionel Rich. I was trying to hold back my laughter until I saw Hei laughing. That’s when I really exploded. It was so funny. Haha, I know I shouldn’t laugh at pple for singing out of tune and out of beat, but…haha.


In the middle of the session, Hei and I went out to buy sth. The guys asked me to buy water for them at Isetan Scotts, but who knows that the K pple actually saw and came into our room and OFFERED to safe keep our water. Stupid! He even attempted to take away my OWN water too. But I refused to let him do so. What a wet blanket!


11.30pm K ended. We paid $23 each. It was time for supper. I wanted to eat prata, but Hei wanted to eat beancurd. In the end, we settled for porridge. So we headed to Chinatown for porridge. It was cute to see Hei perspiring like mad while eating. I wonder why I wasn’t hot at all. I guess my receptors just weren’t sensitive enuf. Haha. Reached home at 1.30am.

DSTA Award Ceremony

After practising the 3 stupid songs - Stand By Me, Bring Me To Life and Shou Qian Shou, its finally the day of our performance. I took half day and was supposed to reach Orchard Hotel by 1.30pm. But cos I went home for lunch, i was late when i reached the hotel. Nothing much at first, as it was just rehearsal. Just that eventually I was made the conductor for Stand By Me.

The award ceremony was just like any ceremony. Minister Teo C H was tall of cos, and wow, the handshake that we had was esp firm. Pple were all surprised when i put on my make-up and changed into my formal outfit. Why? I look so weird meh? Haha.

The only disappointment I had that night was seeing my long-dist cousin over at the ceremony. I don't know how I should put it..well, he's supposed to be very smart, but in the end, he ended up getting the same scholarship as I did. So what does this imply? Either I'm as smart as him or he's become as stupid as me. In any case, next year's CNY i dont expect to hear anymore show-offs about her son, the Great. Neither do I wish to hear anymore newsflash about her sis's son from my auntie's bro. And i must admit that he and his gf are really a compatible pair. In their own way. Haha. By the way, this cousin of mine is my dad's auntie's son. Or rather dad's auntie's husband's son. And this would mean a diff surname altogether. So, we are not close. And any effort to shrink our distance is fruitless. And just a disclaimer, just because he's in RJ doesnt mean that he's better than me cos nobody could outperform a 6-pointer. I CHOSE NOT TO GO TO RJ, not to engage myself with the competitive rat-race with the other elites.

Then the performance. I could safely say that Bring Me To Life was ok, but the Stand By Me was really...i guess the starting note wasn't started right lah. And apparently, not everyone followed my beat as I conducted. But i think everyone has put in their best effort. Afterall, who would want to make a fool of themselves in front of hundreds of audience and many GOHs and VIPs. Shou Qian Shou was the song that won the most applause and I think the other items of cos were defintitely much better than our singing item. But we were featured on the news leh...Haha.

The food was ok, though I didnt eat much as I spent most of the time taking photos with the gang. Yeah, i even took with the minister. Haha. I felt guilty not accompanying my parents and asking them to go back 1st. But that was because I didnt want to waste their time waiting for me while i take photos with the others. I didnt want to feel pressurised as well, afterall, its MY NIGHT. Haha.

I went back at around 9pm plus with Ken. During the walk to the MRT Station, we sort of promised not to sing Stand By Me ever again. Haha.

Back to work

After 3 days of leave, I'm finally back in office. What a great feeling it was. According to Rosie, pple were all wondering where i went to. Sam even commented that how could i resign w/o telling him. Haha. Its nice to see Kwong and Soh again, thou Kwong kept on reminding me of the lots of work I had to do. But he did share to me abt his army life and the OBS experiences of his 2 daughters. The day was short.

I actually intended to go down to Plaza Singapura to buy my Creative charger, but it was so hot and i was so tired that I slept all the way from 3pm-8pm. Jason, who was supposed to accompany me, was no better either, as he slept til 7pm plus. Haha, I guess we were both tired and the hot weather was simply made for sleeping. I just hope that it wouldnt be that hot for the next few days, if not i would definitely be sunburnt, which is the last thing i'm looking fwd to.

There are so many things to pack. So many worries, so many uncertainties. Sigh.

DSTA 3-day Workshop

These 3 days seemed to be very very far, but all of a sudden, they are here!

06 Jun 07

1st day of workshop at Hol Inn. I made many many new frens and of cos, the gals at my table were nice. The talk was conducted in a ballroom, so cool. It wasnt long before we got to have the 1st tea break.

The talks were boring and the lunch was quite stressful. Cos we had to lunch with the pple from the management, and our buddies and mentors. It turned out that my Gerry during the Assessment (Centre) was the senior manager of DSO and my management of the table (Table 11). And as usual, I wasnt paying attn to the talks, so when I was called for an interview, i couldnt ans one of the questions posed. Haha.

Then was the ice breaker. Not as boring as I thot cos there were activities for us to do. Time passed very fast before things came to an end. Anyway, I was the QC Manager for the upcoming talent showcase and part of the singing group as well. I hope it would be slack, cos I still have to work.

The talk that i have been looking forward to - Social Graces & Etiquette. There were 3 speakers- Coach Luke, Coach Kelvin and Coach Cindy. The talk was interesting except the parts by Coach Kelvin, which was extremely dry and boring. I guess it was becos of the minimal interaction and his funny accent. I was passing notes ard the table. I was called to the front, where Coach Luke analysed the way I dressed. He said that I'm a detailed and elaborate dresser, and I was quite doubtful. I was just being myself. Coach Cindy was beautiful of cos, if not she wouldnt be crowned Miss Singapore Vogue 2005/06. I managed to take a photo wif her, hehe. We were taught how to walk, sit, stand, dress, etc. Beneficial.

OBS Briefing by Miss Vivian Wong was last. Thats when I first knew of the ugly and scary details of OBS.

The fun-nest day of all, cos I got to go down to SHATEC for wine appreciation, dining etiquette and cooking classes. I was lucky to get a seat from Tampines, maybe cos it was still early.Andof cos, i slept all the way. I was 5 min late.

Dining etiquette was first. We were taught from making reservations to the real dining etiqutte. We even got practicals during lunch when we we were served a 4-course Western meal. We tasted 5 kinds of wine- 1 champagne, 2 red and 2 white wines. It was fun and interesting and of cos funny to see the faces turning red. Luckily I wasnt one of them. I finally understood the steps of actual wine tasting and the things to look out for in wines.'

Before our cooking class was a demo 1st. It was just a simple demo and I was mainly looking forward to the actual hands-on. I paired up wif Koon Seng and it was hard at 1st as the frying pan seemed to be too hot at first. We did some planning by cooking the Chicken stew which required the most time, first, followed by the sphagetti and fired rice. It seems like the fried rice was the easiest, yet we managed to burnt the red sausages to black coal almost immediately. Haha, the pan was too hot. We were fast as we used a lot of pots and pans, but we had a hard time washing too. Haha.

Though messy and stuffy, it was fun. The food? A bit too oily and salty. Haha.

Rude awakening

Its just early in the morning and somebody and something is really getting on my nerves. Whats the point in telling pple what they said is definitely wrong and insisting that what she said is definitely correct? There's simply no sense, cos there are so many pple who are more well-educated than she is. I'm not trying to despise her by the fact that she might not even have completed her secondary education, but the truth is she's just like a country-bumpkin who hasnt even travelled to any place further than Malaysia and sad to say, who doesnt even read or listen to the news. The only thing that she has is $$$ and i guess that probably lent her the 'right' to boss and brag abt anything and everything that seems so shallow and superficial. I dont believe i'm the sort of person who makes a mountain out of a molehill, but somebody does! And the reason? I guess its cos she has never encountered anything else other than what she sees and hears in her small little social life. Or family life, i should say. Worse case, anyone?

My point being, one should always learn to accept other pple's views. Its not that we're always right, and of cos, its not that what pple say would always be spot-on too. But at least, do learn to accept. There's no point in arguing something when at one instance, everybody knows that what u are saying is W-R-O-N-G!. You're just making a fool of yourself cos pple do travel, do read, and do listen to the news! In addition, even if what u really said is correct, pple dont always have to agree with u too.

I mean at least for myself, after having worked for so long and seen so much new stuff, I have learnt this fact. And never in my life do i say a "NO" after what anybody says. Of cos, u are entitled to your own opinions, but that doesnt deprive other pple of the chance to make the correct statement too. Thats why, saying "NO" to other elses' comments is the last thing i'd ever do. And i never force anybody to agree with my opinions cos those are just my OPINIONS. They are not facts and pple do have to decision to choose wat they wanna believe. And of cos, I cant be bothered.

Just a casual comment, mirrors are there for a purpose. If u have the looks, u have it. If you dont, u dont. I cant really seem to understand how somebody can think that she is the beauty queen and go round flaunting looks that she doesnt possess. I think i shant say any further abt this cos the words and tone may not be so kind anymore.

And of cos, after having writing for so long, who am i actually hinting at? Ask me, I'll tell, but thats provided u know who the person, to begin with. And perhaps sometimes we should just mind our own businesses, cos I'm also quite sick of the same person who always probe into other pples' personal stuff. I didnt want to be rude, but maybe one day, i will really tell her: "Why cant u just MYOB and stop meddling in my personal affairs? And why are u so KPO?"

Haha, i dont wish for that day to come cos i foresee an unpleasant scene.

The Central @ Clarke Quay

It was a last min shopping trip. Heard from KS that there's a new shopping mall at Clarke Quay so Hei and I decided to visit it after work since we were both working late. It was supposedly just the 2 of us, then Jason and his fren decided to join along too.

The carpark of the mall was horrendously head-spinning, try turning and turning till you reach level 5. See if u don't get giddy after that. Haha.

We got quite a shock initially when we saw the emptiness of the mall. Emptiness- as in lack of pple and SHOPS!!! I felt like whacking KS for telling me that most of the shops were catered for ladies when most of the shops werent even there yet. Luckily the other wing of the building wasnt that bad. We walked around before having dinner at a Japanese restaurant. It was funny that all the restaurants there were Japanese. Of cos, i felt so guilty after eating that whole big bowl of Chicken Teriyaki Don lor. How on earth did I manage to finish it?! Dont ask me, i also dont know. Dinner was $16 per pax.

After that we went back. I reached home at almost 11pm. Not too late afterall.

Sunway Vesak 07

The long-awaited Vesak Day has finally arrived. And ended. Since the previous outing, we have been planning activities for this day. Pulau Ubin, Sentosa, Batam, Bintan, ice-skating, Pasir Ris, ECP. It was finally decided the day before...Marina Sq. That was suggested by Hei and Jason who anticipated that weather would be hot the next day.

Woke up early, went out wif Sis and Mum. Then went to Orchard Tangs and Isetan. Was supposed to meet the gang at 3pm, but i was late, and i reached at abt 3.30pm. Chan was there early but i didnt see him til i felt someone pulling my bag. Marina Sq was very crowded and its really irritating to be bumped and squeezed all the time. Anyway, i thot i was late enough, but who knew that the gang would be even later. They reached at 4pm.

We went into Superbowl and they told us the next lane available would be 1 hr later. So we took the chance to do some shopping before bowling for 2 games. Jason was very pro. And as for me? Haha, no comments if u saw the way i dropped that stupid heavy thing and kicked it down the lane. The best part was i always got the chance to play twice cos there was either sth wrong with the sensor or the force i exerted. But still, i didnt help to improve the score.

After that, we went to have Ramen for dinner. It was funny as i wasnt funny and the rest were, yet i was the first to finish my food. Haha. But anyway, i drank many many cups of green tea. Guess i was very thirsty. Haha. This was followed by neoprint and Daytona. Luckily i wasnt last for the arcade game. And the neoprint was less disastrous. At least we understood the procedure and Jason wasnt perspiring as bad as the previous time.

The outing ended wif us drinking at McCafe before heading to the search for Jason's car. I reached home at abt 12.30am.

Pirates of the Caribbean

My 2nd sis's beloved show: Pirates of the Caribbean. So i went to watch with her after work at Century Cineplex. What a long show-160min. Started at 8.45pm and ended at abt 11.30pm. Woah! I shd say this is my first non-comedy, non-cartoon and action-packed English show. I didnt know why the fighting part bored me so much that I fell asleep lor. Haha. 2nd sis fell asleep too during the conversation parts. Too tired, i guess. Quite funny to a certain extent. Overall, it was ok, just that it's been too value-for-money given the duration.

A good way to spend my Sunday

It was supposed to be breakfast, but it ended up being lunch. Met Jason at McDonalds today. As i've mentioned, it was supposed to be breakfast, but somebody couldnt wake up when i called him at 9.30am lor. So I woke up anyway.

Since we didnt really decide which McD to go before that, I just set off to central early, in case I need to take the train or sth. I did a mini shopping andbought a hairband and a shirt at Giordano. Haha. The king finally came at abt 11.30am. So we had our meal and had a very thorough walk at Century Sq and TMall. After that we went to have coffee and tea at Coffee Bean. Ah..what a luxury.

We left the malls at abt 3.30pm.He offered to send me back, but I told him there wasnt a need to cosits just walking dist from the malls to home.

Though slack, it was a good way to spend my Sunday.

Meeting Swee Hoon...

Work til 1pm. Almost got a scare out of my wits when Kwong told meto stay til 5pm. And to think I had the cheek to wave goodbye to him when I knock off at 1pm. Haha.

1.30pm went to meet Swee Hoon at Tampines Inter. Our destination was Marine Parade. Hehe, it was so great to be able to catch up with each other. Talked a lot during the bus journey.

When we reached the food centre, we were both amazed at how hungry we could get. We practically wanted toeat anything and everything. So after our meal,we went to Parkway. It wasdefinitely stupid to go ECP in such a hot weather, so we forgot abt going there anyway. At PP, we almost went into EVERY shop. And I was a klutz of course, knocking down ladders and dropping mushrooms and stuff. And I shd have got the warnign when i dropped all the 10 stacks of drawings for LUP 46 & 47 in office earlier on. But I wasnt the only clumsy person around, cos pple keep stepping on my slippers. Haha. Oh ya, I ate a big ice-cream too. Missed the waffle.

After combing the whole mall, we headed back to malls in Tampines. The journey back was absolutely long and sleepy. I slept throughout, halfway almost dropping my bag. Haha.

Back in Tampines, I saw a nice pair of heels at Century Sq. But i didnt get the permission to buy. :(But I bought 3 pairs of earrings for my 1 precious pair of ears. Haha.

Its been a great meet-up with Swee Hoon. And Winnie the Pooh. Haha.

College Day

Lets see. I was supposed to reach by 8am, but I was slightly early. It was attendance taking for the 1st 1h30min. It was so crowded and noisy in LT2. Like a gathering. Haha.I was sitting next toLee Junyi. He must be wondering who on earth Wan Ping is, how come she knows me. But the fact is, who doesnt know his name? Haha. We had a great chat throughout the ceremony. I didnt know he's such a nice person.

The dress code according to the letter, was supposed to be formal. But apparently,we've got pple wif miny skirts, tank tops, lady slippers and all all sorts of funny outfits and coloured hairstyles. Sigh. Could have worn other pair of heels le lor. But its ok.

It was such a long wait for that plaque for academic excellence and that less than 1 min of time on stage. A handshake, a plaque, a bow and thats it. After that was performance follwed by tea reception. Guest-of-honour was DrVivian Balakrishnan. To be frank, i was really very tired during the speeches and performance. Who wouldnt be if he had slept for barely 4h before the event leh? Haha.

Took photos with Mr Tan, Mr Lau, Miss Ang, Mrs Lim, Mr Chong and went back home to sleep for 6 h: 3pm-9pm. You could have imagined how tired I was. Haha.

Company KTV

My 2nd KTV for the month on 18May. 12pple turned up, $13 each. This one's organised by Rosie and I defintely dun welcome the idea of her boasting abt that. And i esp dun like her to force me to do things that I'm reluctant to. I had drawings to do and I could defintely stay till 7pm instead of working till 6pm and going Giant to do nth. I ate very little at Giant foodcourt cos I wasnt hungry at all.

We reached Punggol Marina KTV at abt late 7pm. Ray really drove fast. The place was horrible at first and even horribler later. Its like a pub, with KTV rooms and pple playing pool and smoking at the lounge outside. Not a single bit of fresh air!

I was fore-warned to preserve my voice but i still sang. Luckily there was free flow of green tea that came with the bottle of liquor. At first it was fun as I managed to sing quite a bit. Me and Hei even acted like zombies and were hopping around when Chan was singing. Haha. Near the end, I was totally exhausted cos I was too weak to sing. My stomach was empty lor. Thats when Siew Mook and Jason who didnt sing much earlier, sang to their hearts' content. I felt much better after eating some grapes.

Pple began to leave at 9pm plus cos they had to work the next day (Sat). No comments for Rosie's husband who came much later. This is supposed to sound negative, by the way. Eventually, only the 4 of us stayed till abt 1plus am. Jason, Siew Mook, Hei and I. Siew Mook was a bit more than abnormal that night. Haha.

I was so tired that I fell asleep in Jason's car. I didnt even know when Hei and Siew Mook got out of the car. I only knew that it was hard of Jason to see me up cos i was really sleepy. Haha.

Back home, I realised I really reeked of tobacco. Horrible. EVERY SINGLE THING stink, stank, stunk. Stinked. I couldnt afford to go College Day with that horrible smell. I washed my hair wif shampoo thrice but the smell was still there. I wasnt exaggerating.

I slept at 3am, wondering how i was going to wake up at 6am.

Medical check-up

Morning was quite busy. Cos there were visitors (Residential Engineers for QTRC 24), so I had to help out with the 'waitress' tasks. The reward? - the sweet treats left behind after the meeting had ended. Haha.

Its amazing that Crystal approved my half day pm leave this morning. I had no choice cos I really had to attend that stupid OBS medical check-up. Of cos I was hoping for a perfect medical rept, but I didnt want to attend OBS leh. But eventually, I'm still certified fit for that dumb prog. Sigh.

I went home at 12.15pm, ate and took a nap. Hehe, by the way, they were giving out free coke at Tampines Inter. Anyway, I reached the GP @ Paragon at 2.30pm, took the tests then went for the X-ray screening at 3.10pm. Seriously, I didnt know that Paragon actually consisted of a medical tower. In fact, those GPs from lvl 7-12 were all those private and high-end kind. Wow. I had to wait 1h for the X-ray rept. So i went to shop around. I didnt leave the building cos it was raining. But eventually I still crossed over to Takashimaya to buy some food stuff for 2nd sis. I enjoyed that 1h being alone, and shopping around. Its the freedom and independence that I really felt glad abt.

So its actually window shopping at Orchard. But I hated being so unglam holding on to so many things in those noisy plastic bags. Esp during rainy weathers. And the X-ray bag was so big. But I still managed to buy a new shirt at Tampines thou. Haha.

Drawings & OT

OT again. After such a long time since I left Gali Batu. What happened?

A new task given by Kwong: to look at the drawings and double check the plank markings. Oh my god, I was like what on earth the drawings were all abt?! But fortunately, I still managed to cope. But the funny thing was that Kwong told me to take my time to do the checking yet all of a sudden, this pm, he told me to stay back til 7pm EVERYDAY to finish the checkings.

I shant talk abt the mistakes that Si Ling made cos those were simply horrendous and shouldnt have been made. Things couldnt have gone missing for no reason and some of the mistakes were absolutely pointless.

Anyway, I shall expect more OTs. But i shall look fwd to Fri's KTV session again. But then again, it seems like my voice have yet to fully recover yet. Sigh...

The Skirt Story

Sunday evening. I met up with Jason and his fren for a shopping and dinner trip. Supposedly, it was only the 2 of us. Then he told me that his fren wanted to join in. Of cos, i didnt mind cos I did have some reservations abt going out with him only. So he came to pick me up at abt 5pm plus and off we headed to Suntec.
 
It was a little awkward initially in the sense that we seemed to be walking around the mall aimlessly. Nobody bought anything initially, which made the whole shopping trip seemed even more pointless.Then Jason treated us to ice-cream. Mine was Mint Chip in cup. That soothed the tense atmosphere a bit cos at least we just window shopped and we got to talk more. Actually, I wasnt exactly interested in the hps that they were interested in, neither were they interested in the clothes and shoes that I enjoyed looking at.
 
The funny part was that I kept wandering off to other shops when they were looking at the hps and many times they couldnt find me. Finally I bought sth at BUM Equip. They were having a relocation sale and mind you, the apparels were absolutely good bargains.
 
After that we went to Carrfour before going to Sakae Sushi for dinner. I think I really wasnt feeling that well, so I ate very little. I could tell from the food ordered that they were really trying to accomodate me. But I really had no appetite. I couldnt help that right?
 
After dinner, I went back to BUM and saw a denim skirt on the manequin. It was a must-buy piece, but a pity it was the last piece and it was worn on the manequin in addition to the fact that they were closing for the day soon and Jason & Sunny were at the door waiting for me. Under such circumstances, I gave the skirt a miss. But it was a temporary miss.
 
That nite, i thot abt the skirt and I really regretted not insisting to buy it. Solution? I called up the store the next day morning to reserve it and went to collect it after work.
 
Mission accomplished-satisfied.

Sickening

And so i have been sick for almost 5 days. Horrible. I know the last time i was was sick was more than 1 year ago, but that doesnt mean I have to see the DR twice, and only to realise that my cough has worsened after the consuming the "stronger" cough mixture. Lousy DR, lousy medicine. And not to mention the long-waiting time for consultation. But yest's trip to the DR was an eye-opener. Cos i got to go to many other places as well and to see the dam @ Lower Seletar Reservoir, despite the hot weather.

In any case, I'm grateful to my colleague-Jason for coaxing me to see the DR, being my chauffer twice to the clinics and being my tour guide yest. It was really great to travel around!

Partying with colleagues

Have been waiting for this day since I started work. Lets not talk abt the stupid dental appt in the morning.

4pm - 8pm

Went to sing KTV with Jason, Hei, Kui Hiong, & Li Chia. @ PartyWorld Int'l Building. I thot i was late cos Lisa was such a dilly dally. So i half ran from Hyatt to Scotts and reallyran to the actual destination. I was both early and late.

1 free drink each and some snacks tgt with the many songs that we sung. Hei was really 1 great singer, I must say. Her voice was really cut out to be a Canto-singer. It was great to have FIR, SHE, Rene, Stef, Jay Chou, Lee Hom, JJ, Fish, Joey, Joi, Tanya, Jolin, Eason, Beyond and Janice to join us for the evening.

Kui Hiong left halfway and Chan came to join us. Thats when Chen Bai Qiang and Theresa came to life. Of cos, the most enjoyable part was singing songs like 'Huo Yuan Jia', 'Ben Xiao Hai' and 'Dui Mian De Nv Hai Kan Guo Lai' cos these songs involved everyone.

The bill was $76.80 to be divided by 6 pple.

8.30pm-10pm

Went to Fish & Co for dinner. Shared a Seafood Platter for 2 ($34.90) with Jason. I must say the serving size was really humongous. Especially Chan's fried fish wif rice. Nobody could finish thier food. Haha.

Hei ordered the same platter as us and she shared with Li Chia.They were so fast at first-it took them the time of me & Jason to eat a few calamari and fries, to finish almost all the 10-12 prawns. But it seems like slow and steady still win the race cos eventually Jason & I ate more than them lor. Haha. But we were all lazy to move after our meal.

The total bill was $115.50 to be shared among 5 pple.

10pm-11pm

We spent this hour walking around Shaw and Cineleisure looking for the perfect movie at the perfect timing. but there was none. So we ended up taking Neoprints. The 4 of us were quite like idiots cos we didnt really noe how to operate the machine. But thou messy, the outcome was still quite alright. It was a really hot hour as we were all perspiring after taking the Neoprints. Haha.

11.10pm-12am

We sat down at McDonalds near DFS to chat and drink Green Tea cos we were all tired and hot after the ups and downs. Especially me, cos my hp batt was flat and I was quite flustered. 2nd sis forgot to bring her keys and she had to contact me so that I could pass her the keys. But my hp batt was so flat that I had to give her Jason's hp no. Had a nice great chat abt work, life, names, fashion, etc before heading home in Jason's car.

Shopping during office hours!!!

Shall talk abt work today. It was so boring before lunch. I was still begging Jason in the morning to bring me to site. But its not possible lah. Then slighlty before lunch, Crystal told me to run some errands for her. Which meant I got to go out!!! Oh my god, i was exhilarated. Over the moon and into the outer space. So after lunch we went NTUC to buy sundry for the month. It was a thirsty trip cos we bought 1 carton (24 bottles) of mineral water and 16 x6 of packet drinks. Of cos there were other items such as toilet rolls and milo and coffee...and we spent $199.10. Haha. If only I got my sis's NTUC linkcard.

So after lunch, Soh dropped me at Giant and I took the free shuttle to Tampines MRT. The1st destination: UOB Plaza 1 to collect shipping guarantee. Dont ask me wats that. I dunno. Then I took a cab from there to Tanjong Pagar Complex @ Keppel Road-exactly where we got lost on Sun on our way to Vivo. Haha. I handed the doc to TNS Doris and I took a cab to Maybank @ Jln Sultan Rd, Textile Centre. Collected that doc and BINGO - MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! It was barely quarter-past-3 pm. Haha.

So guess wat? I walked down to Bugis Junction and started to....I shant be so explicit. Those who know me well will know wat I did. At abt 4pm plus, I tried to take a cab back to office. But there was a long queue outside Parco. And the worse thing was it was changing shift time. So it was extremely hard to hail a cab. And the worst was traffic jam down PIE. My goodness. But I still made it back to office before 5pm. Haha. It was fun, cos I actually got to escape the boredom i'd have experienced in office and i got to S--- during office hours. Haha. Wicked.

Work apart, these few days have been quite sweet. Thou it meant a waste of sms, I really enjoyed cahtting with him. I dont know if i shd look fwd to our meeting next Sun cos i'm afraid things may change. Afterall, we only met once. But I cant be bothered actually.

Yeah, this Sat the 4 of us from Sunway are going PartyWorld to sing K. Yes. But no. I have tuition and dental appt before that. Sigh.

Pre-labour day

Been a great day today despite seeing the wrong bus hence boarding the wrong bus aft work. Had a great long chat with YS and it was really enjoyable.

Work was a little slow and messy today. Rosie was on leave so the office was exceptionally quiet. Henry, Ray, Koh, Li Chia were on leave. But that made minimal diff anyway. Slow cos time seemed to pass very slowly, messy cos Kwong always gave me work that I'm unfamiliar with to do. But I hv enjoyed that, seriously, cos it was really a great experience and chance to learn how to handle new and unfamiliar stuff independently. Thats why its been a great day!

Vivo

This morn woke up early cos I had to go down to Vivo with 2nd sis to buy a dress for Jasmine's wedding. Haha, so reluctantly we woke up at 8am and started cheong-ing. We manged to leave hse at 9.15am. It took us 1 h to get there cos we got lost and wasted a lot of time going in circles. But that gave me a chance to snap quite some shots of the to-be-completed Ferris Wheel and the to-be-forgotten railway station and tracks. Haha.

It was fun to shop so fast. U shd hv seen the pace we kept and the way we buzzed in and out of shops. Saw a Zara dress that we both liked, but too bad- out of small sizes. Chey. Then we went for lunch at LJS. Surprisingly it took us less than 1/2 h to get to Pasir Ris from Vivo.

We were on our own for the next 2h before meeting at Chinatown for part II. Haha.

Seoul Garden

Went Seoul Garden @ TMall wif 2nd sis this aftn after work. It was my 2nd time and her dunno-how-many'th time there liao yet we still seemed lost like some suagu-gia. Haha. I realise its really not worth it for us to go eat buffet. Cos we barely ate a lot before we raised our white flag and surrender. We paid $48+++ for some chicken, soup and ice-cream. Can u believe it?!! But it was fun thou. Cos we dunno when exactly the bbQ food were cooked, so we just bbq and bbq until it turned almost black. If not,we would just dump them into the soup. And somehow the fire just got 'bigger' and the oil started to 'jump'. The soup just kept on boiling also. Haha. It was really clumsy. So we just bbQed a little and went for the cooked food instead. We had lots of ice-cream. And I meant LOTS. Haha, thou it was ex and not exactly filling, it was FUN!!!

MOE Psychometric Test

I went for the MOE Psychometric Test this aftn. Saw Hui Yan. It was not as tough as the one I've taken in sch, but its not really simple either. I was supposed to think and write a serious problem and ans 58 related mCqs. I felt like writing that the problem was I was supposed to think of a serious problem yet I couldnt think of any. Haha. It wasnt a timed test, so I just wrote some rubbish and got it over and done with. Anyway, Iwasnt really interested in that scholarship cos of 2 reasons.1 of them being the courses offered werent of Engineering nature. The other reason...thats for me to know, for you to find out. Haha.

In any case, this test was still fruitful cos I made a new fren-Yong Sheng. Didnt know that we actually have Kai Sheng and Xiao Han as our frens in common. Haha.

Free yet busy

Things at Jln GB finally came to a small full-stop. After the terrible midnite shift on 10apr. Haha, I didnt go to work on 11apr cos I only left that remote place at 2am plus, reached home at 3am, finished the report at 6am, finally went to sleep. How to wake up at 7pm for work leh?Hehe. Right now, its no longer my biz to go there. I just have to update the schedule and check how's Vincent doing. Its ok. But its funny that I'm still so busy. But then i guess its only temporary. Once sch starts, things are gonna get back to normal. An abnormal kind of normal cos my home would be my hostel. I know I ever said that I didnt want to stay in hostel, but things have changed.

Jalan Gali Batu

It all started on 26 Mar. That morning Crystal came to me and told me that Sunway will be taking over a stockpile at Jalan Gali Batu near Kranji. She asked if I would consider going over to handle the admin work. I refused to the offer and yet I was sent over that very aftn. At least Wong and Crystal was with me. My first OT-til 7pm. That stupid Song from Surbana went back with me cos he said Marine Parade was along the way. Eventually, the half an hour journey turned out to be an hour and the cab fee was $29.80. Never had i spent so much money on cab! Luckily can reimburse. The next day I was told to be there by 7.30am. But the cab was early, so I reached at 7am. That day ended early at abt 4pm.

Job was extreme. Thats all I can say. Its either very busy-thats when all the trucks come at the same time, or its very free-thats when there are no truck at all. What i need to do is to weigh the trucks, print the Delivery Orders (DO), sign and print the DO Summary at the end of the day. The report to be done using Excel is an additional hwk given by S. Its simple.

AllI can say is that the stockpile is a lifeless place. Not as if there's nobody there,but u cant expect much pple when its in such a secluded and deserted area, surrounded by stones, forest and foreign workers' domitory. Some of my colleagues joked that the stones were of equivalence to diamond. Of cos, given that granite and sand are like precious gems to construction-related firms. It gets dark at night, but I'm never afriad. Dont ask me why. Twice I worked til 9pm/10pm plus, and pple were all worried abt my safety. But I wasnt scared at all, I swear.
It takes a long-legged person abt 5mins to walk from the container to the toilet and 20mins to complete the trek round the 20mm aggregate stockpile. I believe the view (esp of sunrise and sunset) one gets on top of the hill of stones would be marvellous, but I havent got the chance to climb up yet. Perhaps tmr I will.

On 31-03, I worked til 9pm plus. That was only for 187 loads. I walked out to the mainroad with Ah Boon and Song to wait fora cab. The driver was Ah Boon's face. That day was horriblest cos S kept on calling me on my hp. Almost once every hour. I bet my bill's gonna be a bomb this mth. Last nite was even later. Til 10pm plus for 237 loads. This time round S didnt call me. Phew! But I know he was just worried. Andrew drove me to and fro the toilet in his pick-up yest. Wee Bee came as I was printing the summary and he drove me and Ah Tan toYew Tee MRT Station. I took a cab from there. 1 thing that's bothering me's whether I have dropped my hairclip in Wee Bee's car. Hopefully not-cos I sat at the front seat yest and I'm not sure wat happens if his wife finds a hairclip there.

Tmr's probably my last or 2nd last time going there, cos Wong said he found someone else already. Perhaps it was my initial reluctance that led to the hurry to find new staff. But I couldnt tell him now that I'm actually used to it already. I guess its ok. I have no choice anyway. I'm actually quite confused cos Rosie's back and things have changed more than just a mere bit. Being over at the stockpile would remind pple more of my existence. Is it? Or will it make pple forget abt my existence cos I'm not in the office? I dont know.

But then again, its only a job. Just let it be.

Chilli Crabs

I hardly eat crabs at home. Let alone outside. Thats why it was really fun to eat Chilli Crabs @ East Coast, with 2nd sis and Colin. His condo was in some more-than-secludedplace of Pasir Ris and when we got to his place, it was already 9pm plus. We went to take a look at his condo, loitered around and proceeded for Chilli Crabs. Me and 2nd sis shared 1 Chilli Crab (1.4kg) and Colin ate 1 Black Peppered Crab alone. Frankly speaking, I really didnt know how eating crab works, but i just tried to bite anything that could be bitten. Things gotbetter and less messy as I ate more and more. All of a sudden, it rained. Heavily. With thunder even. We shifted our tables from outdoor to indoor 4 times. How fun. We then went to McDonalds for Sundae and tea till 3am-chatting. Hehe, it was tiring but fun. But i felt so guilty-cos Chilli Crabs are high in fats and cholesterol lol.

Whether I would go out with Colin again, maybe not.

Pizza hut/ KFC lunch

Pizza Hut and KFC lunch on this Friday and a buffet lunch last fri. 6 pizzas, 18 pieces of chicken, 6 boxes of Popcorn Chicken, 2boxes of Chicken Nuggets, 4 Boxes of Coleslaw and Whipped Potato...isnt it wonderful? I even got to take home some of the food twice! I really enjoyed the eating-together. Of cos the food was tasty, but it was the atmosphere that mattered the most to me. I felt the sense of belonging. The WARM atmosphere and the GREAT sense of belonging. All thanks to the $500 which Christine asked from the bosses. Haha.

Ministry of Sound

First of all, I know this is playing cheat, but i prefer my entries to be dated correctly. Anyway, here thanks to Zj, I got to go Ministry of Sound with 2nd sis. We had a hard time finding the place because of 2 non street-wise pple. After turning rounds and rounds around River Valley Road and Bkt Panjang, we finally reached MOS at 9.30pm-the proposed time to leave the place. We each drank 1 glass of Bourbon Coke ($10.50 each) and stayed for a while. A caucasian came to ask if we wanted to join him, but cos I had to wake up early next day, we declined his offer. The place reallyreminded me of NMS Countdown. Loud, misty and dark.

After chilling out at MOS, we went McCafe for fires and nuggets. Reached home at 12am, onlyto see pple quarelling over 1 parking spot. A fight almost broke out. Police cars and ambulance came, but nth big happened.

Tuition Affair

Just now SC's mum called to tell me that his dear son couldnt finish the tuition hwk that i gave him. U tell me if its a lot hwk for a sec 2 kid- 8 bio short qns (of which all ans are found exactly in the textbook) + revision of prev chapters over a duration of 1 week. Come on, it shouldnt even take him more than 1.5 hours to complete everything. And if he were todo some planning, it will only take him abt 15min each day. But there he was, saying that he didnt want to do the hwk, didnt want lesson. Just being blunt, of cos its perfectly fine with me. Afterall, I'm not the one sitting for exams. If he doesnt want to put in the effort, then why shd I? Having to wake up early in the morning everyday is not an excuse for not having tuition cos I HAVE TO WAKE UP EARLY IN THE MORNING EVERYDAY TOO!!! I'd wish to wake up late on a Sat too.

I don't understand what some parents are thinking of nowadays.

NTU/NUS?

I'm so confused. To sound philosophical, I'm at a crossroad. NTU or NUS? I don't like NUS but pple are telling me that NUS is better. Of cos I know NUS is better, but I really dont want to torture myself with more english modules. Its been tough to survive GP. A few reasons why I prefer NTU:

1. 1st sis and KH are from NTU
2. pple in NTU are nicer
3. no english modules in NTU
4. food in NTU is nicer
5. they hv the course I want

I'm not sure if i wanted the course cos NTU has it or I truly wanted the course. All I can say is that I'm biased. Biased against NUS, towards NTU.

DSTA Final Interview

Can u believe it-I've completed the whole of DSTA Scholarship Selection Process when there are still many pple who have yet to apply for the scholarship. The final round interview was the toughest interview of all that I have ever attended. The interviewers were the Chief Executive and Director of DSTA. They asked me qns that I couldnt ans and laughed at my replies. Mad. But the maddest of all was calling me at 10 plus am, telling me that I have been shortlisted for the Final Round Interview at that very aftn. So i took a half day leave and left in Soh's car during lunchtime. Why did they only notify me at the very last min? Wouldnt it be better if they told me just an hour before the interview? They didnt want me to prepare for it-it must have been that. But given the qns that they posed, there's no way I could have prepared for it.

147 pple for the final interview. The odds? Null.

Late day!

A very late day. Supposedly, I had to work till 1pm, had to have tuition with SC from 1.30pm-3pm, had to reach NMS by 4pm. Yet work ended slightly later so i started tuition later, ended tuition later and even boarded the wrong bus and hence, reached the final destination later. Haha. However, the best part of the whole day was meeting up with Chie Ling, taking photos, made a new friend-Darren and had a L-O-N-G nice chat. Haha.

Results Day

The results day. It wasnt that bad. But it could have been better. But i think at least my efforts for my 4 core subjects and 2 S Papers have paid off.

Talk abt my expectations, at least I got sth for my S Paper-I expected none. I didnt expect an A for Bio cos I've never gone near that grade, neither did i expect an A for Physics cos I thot the paper was too challenging. But miracles happened. Lets not talk abt GP, cos theres nth much to talk abt. I'm contented with 5 Distinctions for all my core A-level subjects and 2 Merits for my extra asked-for-it S Papers.

At first, I was reluctant to attend. But then I was excited. Eventually it was fun. The seating arrangement that Chris came up with was not useful and it ended up with guys 2 tables and gals 1 table. Chris and Crystal joined another table. I was sitting b/w Rosie and Si Ling,with all other female staff tgt.

Initially it was decided that Mr Kwong would fetch Chris then me at abt 7pm. So i took my own sweet time. At 6.30pm, Chris called me and said that Mr Kwong would be picking her up at 6.45pm. My goodness. I was far from ready. In the end, I rushed and i still made it early at the bus stop.

The food was so-so. So was the liquor. I drank a glass of wine and a glass of Vodka+7-Up. It was fun, esp with the bottoming up.And it was also my first time seeing real pple getting real drunk and tipsy. They were none other than Reymund and Chan. Reymund was the worst. It didnt take the waitress to serve 2 dishes before he got drunk. He couldnt even talk and walk properly and he started doing funny funny stuff. We took many photos and most of them included the drunkards who didnt know what they were doing. I wonder how Reymund is gonna work tmr. Before that, I wonder how Ray is gonna send the 2 drunkards back. I was sent right to my void deck in Bian's car. Haha.

2 jokes to share. Some lady mistook me for a waitress twice. And I blue-toothed my Donald Duck ringtone to an unknown K800i holder and eventually Pin Ping of Koh's photo back. The photo was horrendous. Horrendously funny.

The dinner wasnt that fantastic in terms of the facilities and food. Somemore, it ended at 9.40pm cos everyone had to work the next day. But the atmosphere was great, perhaps cos of Rosie. Its such a pity I wont be joining them for anymore dinners in future, but I believe Sunway's Annual Dinner 2007 is a dinner not to be forgotten by me and the others.

Pre-Dinner Day

I call today the pre-dinner day and also the best day of work. It was quite slack cos it was raining and it was Hamper day. I spent like most of the time opening the hampers (11 of them) and categorising them, sticking the number tags and preparing for lucky draw. I got #23 which consisted of Bird's Nest, Mushrooms, Dried Abalone, Cookies and Egg Roll. There were 30 sets in all, many aimed for the Brandy (Liquor) (#11, #12, #13) but not me. I couldnt be bothered. Eventually, Balaji, Castillo and Crystal got them. Castillo was so happy, everyone was so envious. Haha. I was contented too.

Unhappy things that happened today? Perhaps was the Sam's stupid printer part and the stupid msg that I sent to Chong and that could have offended him.

Sigh, tmr's results day. I took leave and decided to stay and sleep at home. My colleagues will sure be thinking that I got so drunk that I didnt turn up for work tmr. Haha. I'm always missing after fun events like PSS Finals and Company Dinner.

The Press Release

So its finally been finalised. Although everyone including me, has been expecting it since 09 feb, i was still very nervous upon seeing the press release. I could feel my heart beating faster and faster, and my legs jelly-er and jelly-er, my mind getting more and more distracted. I started to make stupid mistakes at work, I started to do things at a much slower pace. The world almost turned upside down. I was chatting with Eliza and Zj and according to them, we somewhat felt similar. Did we?

Mr Chong msged me and said that results are usually released slightly earlier than proposed timing. But so what? I'm not going to collect them until at least after 4pm. I have totally lost confidence in myself and I couldnt care less abt the probability of going on stage and the chance to meet my cg-mates. I'm not trying to mean anything other than the fact that I'm scared of the day and I cant accept reality. Thats it.

The company dinner's on 01 Mar and the NMS tea session's on 03 Mar. Why must such a terrible day be sandwiched between 2 days that I'm looking forward to? Sigh.

3rd Day of CNY

This day we had more freedom. We (Me and Mum) always go to the airport and we did too, this year! As compared to last yr, the CNY deco were cut down to a very large extent. Why, cut cost is it? We spent most of the time walking around,sitting down and chatting, eating, sky-training. It was quite rush cos we left house late and we were supposed to reach Auntie's house by 4.30pm. It was supposed to be a visiting trip. As usual, we were late cos we were busy shopping at White Sands and we were conned by stupid bus 358, and Dad waited for us for quite some time. Haha. So we had dinner at her place and she did manicure and pedicure for me after that. It was quite paiseh for her to do those stuff for me, but well, since she insisted...Anyway,i didnt like the dinner at all. Nothing suits my appetite, esp a pig feast, err...

They drove us home and we reached home at 8pm.

2nd day of CNY

Usually this day's reserved for movie watching, but its not the case this year. I woke up at 8.30am, in preparation for our Sentosa trip. Hitched a ride to Boon Keng MRT Station. When we reached Vivo, we were so surprised to see the long queue of Bangladesh. No discrimination here, but the hundreds of pple whom we saw were all Bangladesh. I thot there would be more Chinese. We were conned into walking in, instead of taking any transport. But fortunately, the weather was simply so windy and fine, we had no comments. $3 per pax.


We reached the island at 12.20pm and we took the Blue Line bus to Imbiah Lookout. Just as we alighted from the bus, its tarted to rain. Heavily for abt 45min. 2 umbrellas, 2 pairs of new shoes, 3 of us. We didnt want to risk getting drenched or getting our heels soaked with water, so we seeked shelter at the bus stop. We started our journey towards the flowers when the downpour turned into a drizzle. Rain or no rain, didnt stop me from taking lots and lots of photos. One thing I noticed was that the Bangladesh loved to take pictures with me. They didnt mind having me in their pictures thou I minded-cos they simply refused to let me have my picture taken. Alone. Without extras. Haha. Saw Weijie amongst the flowers. Singapore shouldnt be that small right?

We went up the escalator to our fave "hideout" near the SkyTower and had lunch. I so happened to recall sth called Luge Ride in Sentosa, so we went to have a Singapore version experience. $8 per pax. It was fun, but as compared to NZ's one, it seems to be a much shorter distance. It took me less than 5min to complete the whole route of 650m. But it was still exciting. The skyride was fantastically high. I found it much higher than the NZ's one, but Mum disagreed. Nvm, not impt.

Following that was bus rides (to Siloso beach), tram rides (from Siloso beach), Sentosa Express Rides and lastly MRT Train ride. Back in Vivo, we were all shocked to see the super duper long queue of locals waiting for the monorail service. We felt so relieved thatwe walked in in the aftn, instead of waited for the service. I believe the waiting time would cost us at least 1hr. No joke abt that.

The funnest part of the day was the Luge Ride. It brings back lots of wonderful NZ memories. And the many photos taken. It was a happy day!

1st day of CNY

Lets rejoice to my 100th post being posted on the 1st day of the Piggy Year. Slept at 2.45am (busy sms-ing, taking photos, eating, laughing, chatting) and woke up at 7.30am just today. Early?

Anyway, I know it doesnt sound too nice, but its a pity that I have to conclude: Not a fruitful yr as compared to last yr in terms of hongbaos collected cos 2nd sis and I seemed to appear transparent to some uncles, not a fruitful day as well cos we didnt do much today either. We visited the usual families and plus a change in plan from River Hongbao to watching movie at Century Sq. We all hate lame local productions, and since I couldnt risk watching gruesome movies on 1st day of CNY, we settled for Iron Lady Chef-starring Hacken Lee and Charmaine Sheh. Not too bad a movie, except that there were only the 4 of us and a pathetic guy eating Nachos in the whole cinema. Free-seating. Halfway thru, pple actually dozed off. Not me, of cos. But its all ok.

Dinner was simple yet well-cooked (by Mum of cos), with 1st Sis and KH joining us.

NTU Admission Talks

The funnest and happiest things that happened today werent the contents of the talks,but the jokes that me and ZJ cracked. I didnt know that reminiscing of the Sec Sch days when we saw our Sec Sch friends (who changed quite a bit-but not neessarily for the better) was so fun. Esp when we talked abt some pple like MB, ZJ's-was-friend, ZJ's-was-friend's-was-friend, and how we created new words in the Eng dictionary. And some molestation took place on the train too. Haha, poor guy.

Early in the morning I saw duckling. And I was puzzled by the way and speed she walked. and her attitude was funny too. Meeting pple w/o letting the very pple know. Weirdo. And we saw many many pple at Suntec too.

Regarding the talks, I attended 4, 2 standing and 2 sitting. Materials Eng, Biomolecular & Chemical Eng, Bio Chem and EEE. I only had the honour of sitting with ZJ during the EEE talk and thats when our jokes started. First it was on the Prof, then on the PUB Uncle, PUB Daughter and the Publicity guy. But seriously, even after I have attended all 4 talks, I'm still quite uncertain as to what to take, but EEE's definitely out. My purpose in attending the talk was to accompany ZJ and to hear what 1st sis took years ago. Haha. So its among the 1st three. But no worries, still got time, shall wait for the results then I decide. In the 1st place, which University am I going?

Class Reunion

Ok, tonite was the long awaited class reunion. Iwas late, and I had to rush up to Robinsons, RafflesCity to check out sth from IPSA. My other task was to buy some rubber for the new sofa from DIY Shop.

Things were messy initially, cos that stupid Pizza Hut was having such along queue and my hp batt was flatter than flat. Pple keep calling to tell me the place was so packed, but the thing was i have already left my name and number with that outlet this aftn. It wasnt really my fault that they didnt call me to tell me if there were any empty tables but i felt bad cos I was the organiser and things werent smooth. But anyway, So there were much fuss over where to eat and in the end, we settled for Breeks. I called that Pizza Hut outlet and gave them a good dressing down. I wasnt being unreasonable, but I have to be held accountable for 18 other pples' dinners. And just when I was feeling quite mixed, my food arrived last and pple around me were either in the middle of their dinner, or almost finishing. Luckily I couldnt finish the pasta, so I caught up with them. Haha. In the end, the bill for our tableof 5 was $53.70. Still ok lah.

After the meal and photo-taking, very good, where to go next? XH and I suggested going up Esplanade and just chat and the guys decided they'd rather go home. So when we decided to go home, they were like: HUH, thats all? Quite confused too. Andby the way, its quite fun to get squashed up in the train. The train almost closed the doors on me, Lynn and Lela. So I pushed CT ans QP into the train at the very last moment. Haha. We had a nice chat on board.

I guess all ended up well cos the turnout was good (19 out of 23) and we got to eat together too. But for me, I had quite a bit of exercise-running to and fro City Hall MRT Station and Robinsons, and from City Hall to Marina Sq and from Breeks to Homefix and back. In heels. Haha.

Now that I'm back home, first thing I did was to charge my hp.

DSTA Assessment

The 1st round of DSTA Scholarship selection was an interview, that was far too generic. The 2nd round was a 3h assessment (centre) consisting of 3 parts-online analysis assessment, scenario role-play and presentation. The presentation was the on-the-spot kind, where you picked a qns and use 1 min to prepare for the qns. The rest was so tough. And the place was freeezing cold.

PUB/PSS 2

As I have always said, Sundays are fruitful. Today's special cos its the busiest Sunday of the year so far and it begins from 8am to 2am of the next day.

Part I
PUB Scholarship Talk. Nothing special actually, just the usual stuff-theperks,the current projects, and just that they keep making us eat and eat. We toured the NEWater Centre @ Tanah Merah/Bedok and went on tolisten to some boring talks. The content was so dry and boring. Then-the boat ride! It was rather ok, if only the captain had increased the speed. The PUB guy was still afraid that pple would be seasick-come on, if you drive at the speed of some slow-boat, you will probably fall asleep more than getting sick. The main objective of the ride was to show us the Marina Barrage, but I ended up looking at the CBD and the upcoming NDP Performance floating platform and spectator seats instead. Funny thing was that the PUB guy keep on urging us toconsider PUB Scholarship-felt like asking him, why not the other way round? They award only 10 scholarships per year,out of 500+ aplications. Who's considering who?

Transition
I reached home at 4.40pm, ate a bowl of noodles (my dinner), changed into a blue shirt and off I went to meet Chie Ling at Kallang. But I was very late cos themoment I left house, I realised I forgot to bring a sweater. I went back to take one and left again. Then I realised I forgot to bring a plastic bag, so I went back and took one. I left again and only to realise I forgot mywatch. So I made the 3rd trip back and of cos, naturally, I was late. Haha.

Part 2
Project Superstar 2 Finals @ Indoor Stadium. My first time watching a concert there. Got 4 tix from Arthur (cos his nephew's Cai Weijian) and I sat with Chie ling at Row 4, seats 10 & 11. Lynn and XH sat at Row 7. My goodness, we were so so so near the contestants and hosts!
Throughout the concert, it was very noisy and loud. During the commercial breaks, all the stars went backstage and the hosts just walked around. The superhosts led the fans in saying the cheers and we, being the pple at the side, were less 'high'. Haha. The stars were superb, I must say, their voice being so loud and powerful (credit goes to the vol of the mic as well) and the atmosphere was great. Too bad, I didn't bring my camera. By the way, I still don't like Dawn Yip. Stupid Host.

Towards the end when the other 11 male contestants performed, I was super excited in seeing Lesheng and Cai Weijian.I was waving to the latter like crazy, yet another male contestant behind him thought I was waving to him, waved back at me instead. He still did some funny actions like pointing to me and putting his hands on his heart, as if accepting my support and love. Joker. I didn't even know his name. But now I know. His name's Jeff. Not wanting to break his heart, I just smiled. I loved the part where all the confetti dropped down best-its as if it was snowing. I was covered with the confetti lol.

Got a goodie bag with a notepad and a box of Hoyu hair dye-some brown-red colour. As if I'd ever use it. Must be those colours that had poor sales.

So who did i see? The superstars, camous superstars, super hosts, judges, hosts, plus Patricia Mok, Pornsak and Junli.

Ending
I reached home at 12 plus and had a mini dinner part 2. Overall, thou late, it was fun and worthwhile, afterall such chances don't come often. and i got to meet up with Chie Ling.

another Sunday...

Once again, a fruitful Sunday. Got a 3-quarter pants for CNY and this shall mark the 1st year of not-wearing-skirt during CNY. Heh. But i don't really like today, cos a Hungarian is an Angarian, and I was being made a Hungarian for almost 3-quarter of a day today. So naturally, I was an Angarian. And I hated it when dad starts shifting furniture abt just cos he wanted to wipe this ceiling or that wall. Who cares abt walls/ceilings getting dusty? Nobody's coming to our house anyway. And even if there is (which has a probability of 0), you think pple will stick out a finger and start touching here and there, up and down, testing how thick a layer of dust in mint collection you have managed to get? What a bother.

Saw Karen at TMall this aftn. Haha, cant help laughing when she couldn't find her family members after stopping a while to chat with me. :)

So happened to stumble upon Alfred Aldehyde's blog. I felt so disgusted after reading some of his entries. How is it possible that there exists a person who brags abt how rich/capable he is, without feeling his face turning red? Perhaps his mum didn't force him to eat humble pies. Or perhaps she didn't even know the recipe. Haha. And of cos, I don't see how proud it is to be exempted from normal NS duties and to be just an admin clerk. Can't he see that he would be considered lesser than his peers who went to some Tekong or dunno-wat camps, in future? Maybe he's too rich to work.

I think Guai Gia #01 will be reading my blog-finally, so I shan't say bad things abt her. Haha, no lah, nth bad abt her to talk too. Happy that she found a job that could entitle her free Internet use...so can chat online while we're working. But seriously, I think she's a worker who's being exploited. Haha, as if her pri sch is a MNC like that. Happy working gal, don't be too stressed ah!


By the way, anyone bought any CNY goodies? I haven't leh...

Mission accomplished

Mission accomplished! Instead of buying a pair of heels, I ended up buying 3 pairs, of which 1 pair's for mum. Went down to Bugis OG. There were lots of shoes there, but I just couldnt find any pair that I liked. No affinity, I should say. Headed to Bedok and found the Mr Right. Shoes, i meant. Nice and tall, very cheap as well, haha. Yeah.

Next on the CNY hunting list would be the skirt and the earrings.

stupid mistakes

Had the longest conversation with 2 colleagues today-Arthur and Mr dunno-who. Heh. I even knew more abt the Big M thru one of the conversations. Somehow maybe I'm still too naive or simply dumb, I made 2 stupid mistakes in my conversations. Not really mistakes, but it just made me feel like slapping myself after the words came out of my mouth. Sigh. Talk abt work, today i almost had nth to do, and yest i almost had too much to do. Whats up? I was surfing the net half the time. And it was a pity my parents didn't want the free JetStar air tix. :( Oh, I also uncovered a pin-hole camera in my office, right behind my desk. Sneaky huh!

Arthur asked if I wanted to go watch PSS2 Fianls cos he may have free tix, cos his nephew was one of the contestants-Cai Weijian! My goodness, one of the few whom I have supported. The others were Lesheng and Charlotte (or was that Michelle?). Though its really unlike me to watch such stuff, but I thot thats a rare chance, why not? Anyway, he may not get the tix afterall.

Tmr is my shoes mission. Hope to get a pair of new heels. Hopefully I may happen to spot some nice skirts too. Haha.

Horrible day?

The horriblest day of the year. Slippers spoilt. Cut my hand. Had a horrible scare. Had work to do from Sam and Arthur. Whats up? Long story. Slippers spoilt, couldn't walk. All the tools that could help was tried, but it still came out. OK Glue, Scotchtape, Big stapler. Useless. I walked barefooted for abt thrice cos my slippers gave way when I halfway up the stairs. The best way out was to take off my slippers. That stupid slipper made me cut my hand. But I 'earned' an early ride home. Haha.

Had a great scare by Sam. He told me to chaneg the company logo on his 52 ppt slides. I did. All of a sudden, I noticed a missing QTRC 21 pix. I thot I deleted it, cos I couldn't rmb if its was originally there or not. Wong came down and asked how I was doing. So I conveniently asked him if he thot a pix was supposed to be there. He said yes. Oh gosh, I nearly fainted. Tried to find the pix from all the files, but to no avail. In the end,I called Sam and told him what happened. He told me he didn't put the pix yet. He asked why I wasn't eating cos it was lunch and told me not to worry cos I can always put my photo there. To think he could still joke when I was so worried here. I was so shocked and worried and anxious that I didnt feel hungry at all. But I felt so relieved that I almost cried. Dunno why, but i'm just so scared. Guess I'm still too young? Anyway, guess I was too worked up before, I actually felt exhausted. Stupid adrenaline overworked my nerve cells and brain cells. Heart muscles as well. When I went up and told Wong abt it, he said that he knew the pix wasn't there actually. Contradiction?

And I don't understand why Arthur's name spells nightmare. I always feel so stressed doing work for him. My mood was spoiled for the whole day. No smile at all. Raymund was so scared to trouble me to call Christine. Henry was afraid to use my PC as well. Big M didn't dare to crap too much. Too bad. Not bad actually.

Good thing was I met 1st sis this morn and I received my 1st salary from MOE for relief teaching! yeah!

Durian episode

Today someone from the company bought durians. The no.1 hated food in my list of hated food. Everybody was like asking me: "Hey Miss, aren't u eating?" And for the 20th time I was saying: "Oh, I don't like durians." I was still wondering if I haven't got a name. Fred came and asked whether I'm a S'porean cos he assumed that all S'poreans LOVE durians. Apparently, I proved him wrong. I felt bad, not showing face, esp when everyone invited me to join them, but I really can't force myself to stain my hands to eat sth that I don't like! Sigh. If only they had bought pizza, which I might still eat though its also in my list of don't-eat food.

The big M took a half-day leave today. Phew! Peace for half a day. I think so far, other than the 2bosses on level 3, the level 2 bosses are still ok.

Someone called me last nite. I should be angry with him for spreading some untrue stuff, but somehow I was 'softened' by his sincerity. But it was nth.

Received the DSTA email/letter today too. Was quite surprised to know that I actually made it thru the Prelim Interview by crapping, but I had a feeling that everyone was shortlisted and it wasn't a big deal. What kind of assessment can last for 3.5h? I don't know. Mystery will unravel on 08 Feb...

Sundays

I love Sundays. Cos I don't have to work, which also implies that I don't have to see that stupid M in the office, and also cos Sundays = Fruitful Days. Guess what, I bought another new shirt today! That means I have 2 tops for the 1st 2 days of CNY already. I'm not gonna let history repeat like last yr, when I couldn't find any nice CNY clothes at the very last min. Haha. still, I lack bottoms, heels and earrings.

Talk abt that stupid M really makes my blood boil! I really cant stand him. The fact that he's got nth to do does not render him eligible to pester me. Pple who know me well know that I get very serious when I'm doing my work and I make absolutely no effort to entertain any jokers who try to disturb me and make me entertain them while I'm doing my stuff. Had it not been my intention to be kind, I would have told him to just get lost and leave me alone. I'm not trying to be rude, but I guess this is what normal gals would do to irritating-&-having-nth-better-to-do guys. Its sad that he's working on the same Saturdays as I am, and this would mean that I have to see him 6 days a week on alternate weeks. I have half a good mind to swop. And its sadder to think that I have to see him again in less than 10 hrs time. My goodness.

Spoke to my SciCo junior just know and learned that there were only 7 new members forthe Chem dept from the new intake. They have yet to categorise them intoresearchand crystal growing, and yet I can foresee that less than 4 will belong to the latter. I understand how Esther really feels-being occupied with planning activities for both the seniors and the juniors. Bad thing abt being the head is that on one hand, the teacher will be telling you to organise activities for these and those, as if they are simple tasks. On the other hand, you have entirely no idea as to what to organise. Worst of all, its hard to get things going abt among ur peers, who don't feel like doing anything, without them feeling that you are ordering them to do sth. So there you have it. All I can do is to tellher to jia you. What can I do? I've been through that and i received no encouragement from my senior. Its very kind of me to offer my moral support. Haha.

All of a sudden, I'm reminded of how lousily I'll do for my A-levels. Sigh, feel like crying. What am I gonna do if I get no As? Nobody understands.

Changing the topic, my mind has been almost pre-occupied with that somebody ever since that some event ended. I don't know how I ended up having good impressions of that somebody when that somebody was just an acquiantance in my life. Somemore, we didn't even know each other well, neither had we spoken to each other for more than an hour in all. I sure hope that soon that somebody will be taken off my mind...

Audition + work

Went to some music company for an audition with XH aft work today. We weren't accepted, neither were we rejected. The producer wanted us to join their singing classes. And of cos, we rejected the 'offer'. Who wants to pay so much $$$ to learn singing at an unheard-of music company, performing at some unheard-of events? Not being a sourgrape here, but I think the main aim of that company is to get pple sign up for their singing classes. We weren't bad, neither are we sad or affected at all, cos we weren't really hopeful and serious in the first place. Life goes on. Haha.

Speaking abt work,there's this stupid uncle who's always so irritating in my office. I don'tknow why he always like to talk to me, perhaps cos I'm new, so its easier to brainwash me with all his "history & philosophy", but pls, I have work to do. Twice today I have been seen talking to him by 3rd floor Crystal. I didn't want to offend him, thats why I patronised him. But that doesn't mean he can talk to me till I can't eat my lunch, can't do my work. All he talks abt-all the time, is
  • how capable he is thou he's only a Diploma holder,
  • how he's got the trumph card cos he's directly employed by the biggest boss,
  • how he's better than some other bosses (who's only a-lvl grads),
  • how stupid his workers are,
  • how he dislocated his arm 5 yrs ago and have yet to recover,
  • how life was when he was still a consultant 18 yrs ago at a major firm,
  • how he's been working smart and others have not, blah blah blah.

U think i would be interested? Somemore he speaks so softly, how can I-who's known to be quite deaf, hear him? I was like nodding my head, agreeing with him all the way thou I didn't really cared abt what he said. I couldn't hear him! What can I say? No point disagreeing with him anyway, cos that would only prompt him to say more so as to prove that what you said is WRONG and what he said was RIGHT.

Aside, the funny thing is that there were so many instances whereby i'm so free and have nothing to do AT ALL. Its either i've been too fast with my work (which I'm inclined to believe so, haha) or there's really nothing to be done or there's sth to be done, just that i'm missing them out. I don't know,but I feel like taking leave. So that i have more work to do when I get back and so that I won't have to see that stupid uncle.

1 week of work

My 88th post! What a nice number. Shall make this post a COLOURFUL one. Anyway, 1 week has passed. I don't know whether you call it fast, but I can't wait for Rosie to go and come, so that I can come and go. Haha. But first I'm wondering how I'm gonna survive w/o her for the next 3 mths. Tmr's Rosie's last day. Thou I'm getting used to the work routine, I still don't quite enjoy it, perhaps cos of the pple here. Its not that I don't get along with them, in the first place, this is a mind-your-own-business kinda workplace and there is an obvious age-gap. But anyway, the crux lies with the horrible dose of office politics.

Here goes:

Some of the 2nd floor pple dislike some of the 3rd floor pple and yet some of the 3rd floor pple like to come down and bother some of the 2nd floor pple, when they know that some of the 2nd floor pple don't like them.

When the boss is around, some of the 3rd floor pple suddenly become so busy and start running about the 3rd floor and the 2nd floor while some of the 2nd floor pple laugh at how some of the 3rd floor pple keep themselves seemingly busy.

One of the 3rd floor pple wrote a notice that says: "ISO Auidt-No Leave Allowed" on the 2nd floor whiteboard and some of the 2nd floor pple sneered and commented on that notice. One of the 2nd floor pple circled the wrong spelling and insisted on taking leave on that particular day, cos he said he couldn't understand the notice.

Some of 3rd floor pple like to come down to the 2nd floor and order some of the 2nd floor pple to do some work. Some of the 2nd floor pple entertained them, some made faces behind their backs, some argued with them, some complained when the order-ers left while some acted blur.

Interesting? I think the best way to survive is to...not bother. See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil-in front of all these pple. By the way, guess which floor I belong to?

Rosie says I'll receive big red packets from the bosses during CNY. Best is to bring 2 Mandarin Oranges. But isn't it weird to appear, all of a sudden, in the bosses offices with 2 Mandarin Oranges, waiting for them to give me red packets? How shd I go abt doing that? I still have 1 month to think abt it. Haha. Maybe 1 day I should set a password to this blog. If not my head will roll if my office pple read this blog.

Fruitful day

I don't usually go out on rainy days, but this shopping trip I made with mum this aftn was really fruitful. Got myself a Nike jacket and a nice, new shirt and necklace to go with it. The jacket is supposed to be menswear, but I can't be bothered. I thot it looked great on a female-thats me, and I bought it. Who says gals can't wear guys jacket if it fits? Its $99.90. Haha. Less than $100 for a Nike jacket is a reasonable price. The shirt's from Isetan, just a normal red shirt for CNYSi, but with the necklace,the whole set looks nice. Haha. $13+$5. So I spent a lot, but I guess once in a while should be ok. Now I still lack new shoes, new mini-skirt and a set of new earrings. Gambate!

This was taken at my neighbours' doorsteps. I bet no one has ever seen as many shoes, other than in shoe shops. Haha. By the way, its not just the many pairs of shoes. Its the many brollys too.

Tuition

My 1st tuition session for the yr!!! Haha, I'm the tutor, not the tutee. Taught Sec 2 Chem using my Sec 3 Pure Chem textbook. Huh? No lah, its just Hai Sing Catholic's syllabus. No mistake. Quite ok, except that I thot there were many things that we were supposed to know by the time we started using this textbook, but I forgot that he's only Sec 2. I think 1 less yr of General Sci is really very tough on the students, esp on their foundations. I'll just do my best. Luckily i still have my O-level TYS, so I can give him some practices.

Finallymet up withmy dear friendLam. Hadluch and had a short nice chat over lunch-Jap food. Haha. She bought me my fave-colour pens and also my fave-earrings!!! Thanks so much, Lam, really like them a lot. Haha. Meeting up with long-lost friends really feelgood. Like the other time when I met up with Jie Ling. All of a sudden If eel that ever since I've started working, I really miss the schooling days with all my friends, cos we are all alone in our own workplace. Really hope to meet up with everyone once we all receive our pay and have nice meal. Probably steamboat, so that we can celebrate CNY too. Haha. Looking forward...

On my own

Today-independence day! Haha, what rubbish. Rosie didn't come to work today, soI was on my own. Somehow, I just had endless work to do. to tell the truth, I only had abt 40% confidence in what I was doing. Its considered gd in the sense that its better than no confidence at all. Haha. I hate it when Arthur comes down. Whenever he comes down, it means work. Not that I don't have work to do when he isn't around, but its just that sudden work assigned can be stressful. When I couldn't find things or when something goes wrong, I panicked. But once again, thats only me. Didn't ans much phone calls today, so I guess tmr someone's gonna complain to Rosie abt that. But I can't be bothered cos I won't be there. Heh.

Some small things went wrong today. Don't know what, but its definitely not the case whereby all-went-smoothly. Calling Rosie was my last resort and I was forced to make abt 3 of them. And by the way, I have yet to master the skill of making outgoing calls. Anyway, wait till she sees what I did today. She'd prob flip. Haha. By then my confidence level may descend to 0. You nvr know.

I'm glad that I'm on leave tmr. Till now, I still find the pple there quite weird, and as usual, I don't dig weirdos. I was called up for relief teaching today, but couldn't go. If they call me for again tmr, I'd gladly oblige but that implies I'm not gonna have much sleep. Don't mind thou. I quite like teaching aft being tortured by data entry for 4days. If not, I promise to sleep till 1pm.

First day of work

I don't know why this website is in Chinese but theres no way I can revert it back to English, so I shall leave it alone. Haven't been using computer for a long time and I really mean COMPUTER cos my house is use laptop de. Anyway, 1st day of work is no fun. Many a times, I feel quite lost. And forgetful also, maybe cos I haven't been using my brain for a long time liao. But anyway, I should go bang my head against the wall for thinking that teaching is hard, cos its till now then I know, data entry is even harder. I'm afraid of making mistakes and the things all look so foreign to me. Delivery Orders, Pricing list, Cement, Beams, all sorts of things that I have never seen so often in my life as compared to the textbook stuff.

Now is lunchtime and some pple went out to eat. I didn't know that theres no canteen here. Luckily I so happened to buy a sausage bun this morning, so that was my lunch. Seriously, I'm hungry still. Nvm, diet! Haha. Tmr I shall bring lots of food to eat here. I don't care! So now can slack.

Rosie introduced lots of pple to me just now and frankly speaking, I can't rmb half their names. Haha. Still have 4.5h to go. Sigh. I don't know what I'm gonna do when Rosie isn't here next wk. Think I'll just die. So much unfamiliar work to do.

Teaching is fun-ner.
